GMTK 2022 - ROLES THE DICES


I have made a simple interpretation of the theme, focusing mainly on the atmosphere annd having fun creating the mood, atmosphere of it! 

For art, instead of doing a very minimalistic art style I use Kenney assets to have some lively characters!

I went for auto-battling of characters as it was easier in my mind, I really like the "pokemon" feel of it haha. But I feel it's hard to make good strategies in the game, I would have needed a full more day to try to find design solutions to the issues so I made game easy on purpose so you can still see it ^.^



I'm very happy about it overall as I often focus on gameplay in my game jams games, this time it was the opposite!

Controls : 

I recommend playing it fullscreen to avoid some visual issues!

Left click : Move and Select heroes
Arrow keys  : Move Camera, if your hero is out of vision, this should not be used too much as it can be abused to break the game but it's there if you want to have fun.

I made the code on Construct 3 game engine and I really hope you enjoy the game atmosphere!

Interesting game here, though having to move each hero individually to keep them grouped is very tedious. Perhaps a menu to show which heroes you have and switch to them would streamline it a bit.
